I don't care that the same label "murderer" is applied to both cases. Killing two people causes more hurt than killing only one.

That's a bunch of crap. You don't flip the switch, because YOU are not responsible for the deaths of the accident, and you do not have the right to take the man's life when you have no reason to believe he is. Saving lives does not justify taking them, unless those lives are causing the deaths. If you were on the trolley, you'd have a right to flip the switch, but not in the presented scenario. And in the alternative of pushing a guy in front of the trolley - also unacceptable and for the same reason.
