Sanderson confirmed at the NY signing that Perrin's dream of Rand as a blindfoled beggar was fulfilled in Ebou Dar. He also indicated that it fulfilled Min's vision of him as a beggar with a staff, though that was slightly less clear.

Man, I hope that wasn't it. If the blindfolded beggar dream was fulfilled in Ebou Dar... where was the blindfold? This whole Fisher King mythology had better play out to more than that. It's supposed to be this big symbolic thing, Rand as the Fisher King. And that's fulfilled when he just wears a ragged cloak? C'mon! Don't pull a Masema/Graendal on us here, Sanderson.

I'm sure there's much more to come on the Fisher King symbology, but Rand was metaphorically blind before his big revelation on DM. Read the Seanchan Prophecy at the end of the book - it sums things up rather nicely.
