I hear you on the direct confirmation from BS re Perrin's blind beggar vision. My disappointment was in thinking that's all that would come of the Fisher King theme. However I just looked up Fisher King in a non WOT context and the blind/blindfold doesn't appear to be part of the original. So that's nice. If the blind beggar vision is satisfied by Ebou Dar, that's fine. But since there was the whole Fisher King chess piece thing with Ishamael, casting Rand in that metaphorical role for the whole series, I'm glad that there is still room for there to be more about that rather than Ebou Dar being the end of it. The post-TG Rand and all.
