I never claimed there was no strength difference between Graendal and Rand! Not once did I say that.

I said that in the upper echelons of the list, the people populating it can challenge each other. Meaning even if there is two or three levels between Graendal and Rand, she can still be a dangerous physical opponent for him.

If Rand can only be matched by people who equal him in strength, men like Demandred, Aginor and Sammael, and women like Semirhage would have had no chance to beat him. Yet, some of these people fought Lews Therin, and came away alive. What does that tell you?
