Meaning What, Exactly? The Name With No Man Send a noteboard - 01/12/2009 11:35:43 AM

We're losing angreal and sa'angreal in this series. Very soon they'll all be gone. Destroyed angreal/sa'angreal...

1. The Choedan Kal (both)
2. Rand's fat man angreal (missing, probably forever)
3. Graendal's pinky ring (along with Graendal)
4. Verin's angreal (probably to the grave with Verin)
5. Moiraine's angreal (missing)
6. Lanfear's angreal (missing)

:)

Or is this like naming off all the Forsaken then striking through the names of those slain so we can keep track of which key players remain? Is Callandor the sole remaining male angreal we've seen? I want to say Rand had two early on, but for a while he was walking around with the fat little man, Callandor and the access keys, IIRC, so it's hard for me to be sure without a thorough re-read, and I haven't had the time for ages.

Do you think any of the other Forsaken have managed to find one? Or Taim? Might the aversion Galina and the other Reds feel toward male channelers be preempted by their Dark Oaths enough to pass along Rand's angreal to him? We still don't know what happened to it, only that Rand had the place dissected to find it, but fruitlessly. Or might he have had one for some time? I can't recall any mention of being able to tell when someone's using an angreal, and the confrontation between Cyndane and Alivia at the Cleansing implies just the opposite. What if Taim is a channeler of average strength who's been augmenting that with an angreal from the start?
