Shadow win? Nargs Send a noteboard - 01/12/2009 04:20:36 PM
Why would we have ever gotten the sense that the shadow was winning or is even capable of winning? Instead, everyone thinks the shadow is stupid and completely inept.

Most of the shadow's wins have been off screen or we dont know about the shadow's wins. We dont even know, really, about the shadow's losses! Did the DO mean for semmy to get off'd and for Rand to use the TP? We dont know!

Shortcoming of the series is that we dont know whats going on with the forces of the dark. Jordan wanted us to feel anxiety about whether the light side would win or not. I dont think this goal has been met or ever will be met.

It would have been awsome to know what mazrim taim's deal was from the get go and not almost after the fact.

It would have been awsome if moiraine didnt get lost through the portal but instead got turned by 13 myrdraal and for us to see it as it happened!

All of this so that we could have felt more dread and more like the shadow could possibly win.

As it is, i have no doubt that the inept shadow will succumb to the good guys! Bah!
