I agree to a point, but remember that prior to VERY recently both the Windfinders and Wise Ones imagined that Aes Sedai were somehow superior and power hungry bee-otches tend to flow were the power is perceived to be. Also, in a weird sort of way, Rhuidean seems to be an effective ter'angreal at sorting out Aiel at least predisposed to the Dark. I imagine that many who die in the glass columns do so because of character traits that would lead to the Dark.
I am cynical. I find that those who inheirit power (either wealth or the ability to channel) are not neccessarily better people, but are unquestionably more dangerous people.
But worlds and peoples must evolve in an arc, or, like humans in the 'ideal' "Matrix", the change is not accepted. It is ludicrous to jump from the various societies of the WOT straight to Democracy or some other system that posters seem to want the people of Randland to adopt.

wishful thinking if you ask me. The point is "freedom" from leashes. Having the take oaths is worse. *NM*

I think we already know Egwene's position on a "Fourth Oath"

I'd rather see them keep the a'dam, and just leash all the current sul'dam

Fortuona didn't save Egwene and a Fourth Oath to an Empress is worse than what Elaida wanted.

I don't know about being 'quick' - we've had at least 8 books to become familiar with the cultures

It refers to part of Egwene's dream that is yet unfulfilled. It COULD mean Tuon save her. *NM*
