That Moridin betrayed the Shadow here, because Rand survived and will in the end defeat the DO.

That's nonsense. Fact is, Moridin simply didn't want that Rand died. He didn't care about Sammael or betraying him.


The standing order even then was "Let the Lord of Chaos Reign" ... and Rand was not to be killed! Sammael was in the midst of betraying these orders. The DO wants Rand alive for some reason, not just Moridin... note how SH told Semirhage not to kill Rand too ... it's not just egos going on here.
