Channelers in the Age of Legends were stronger than channelers in the Third Age. If RJ's quote is being interpreted correctly, their strength distribution could be represented by a Bell Curve.
Today's channelers are much weaker. And going by RJ's quote, their distribution can also be represented by a Bell Curve.
But if you have two different populations, with different average strengths and therefore different maximum strengths, then they are obviously not being represented by the same Bell Curve.
Answer two questions:
1.
Is the average channeler in the Third Age as strong as the average channeler in the Age of Legends?
2.
Why does it violate RJ's Bell Curve requirement if there are two different Bell Curves for the two different populations?
Are you in fact saying that the average strength channeler in the Age of Legends was of equal strength to the average channeler today? That is clearly not a tenable position to take.
