6 Aes Sedai cannot defeat Guare Amalasan or Yurian Stonebow. Those Aes Sedai were likely stronger than today's sisters, but even if they weren't, that means you need at least 7 Aes Sedai to defeat a man of that strength. Elayne's maximum potential is about 2.5 average sisters, going by the Amys plus Melaine comparison, but even if she's as strong as 3 sisters, it means she would have to link with 4 more sisters to have a chance of defeating Taim.
