An interesting observation, but I do not think that Sorilea is a Darkfriend. Surely, Elza could have overheard that Cadsuane had the Domination Band or Semi could have deduced the same. It is not a giant step away from that to conclude that Cadsuane would keep the DB warded and hidden in her quarters. As an channeler from the AOL Semi could surely have the skill to detect and unravel the wards.

From Verin's comments above, she could also be just trying to create suspicion about the WO. Part of her orders perhaps?


Agreed that Verin could have just been creating suspicion too.

I just found it interesting when you combine it with the fact that only 2 women were shown to see where the DB was hidden and only one of them can Channel (and incidentally saw Cadsuane unweave her ward).


Not among Rand's allies. If Cadsuane and other AS had been scheming how best to manipulate or control Rand, yeah, Verin would have been all over that, giving bad advice and playing them all against each other. But she'd already decided that Cadsuane had Rand's best interests in mind, she didn't want to mess that up. Verin was Black, but that doesn't mean she was sabotaging the Dragon Reborn.
