It is possible that there was a clause in each Oath that the criminal wouldn't remove it unless given permission by the Hall.


It seems like that would require 2 oaths - one not to repeat the offense, and one not to remove the first oath. And, the impression I have is that AoL criminals only swore one oath (didn't Sammael sort of imply that, when he was talking about the Ageless look to Graendal?).

But it's possible, I agree. In fact, RJ may very well have given such an answer, if someone had challenged him re why his TAR oath rod response would have made Binders worthless in the AoL.
