Where did she stand up to him? Defy him by keeping her hood up so he wouldn't kill her, but stand up to him face to face? I don't think so.

Of course she ran when he threatened her with death. But that didn't stop her from carrying on anyway. It isn't bravery if you jump from the top of a tall building knowing it will kill you. Its idiocy.
