however moving from one time zone to another (no matter how instantaneous) isn't time travel. Why? Because everyone on this site, regardless of where they are, are at the same point in time (as observed from an external point of view).

Whether you happen to arbitrarily label this point of time 2:00am, 2:00pm, or 1400hrs...its all still the same point of time. One must remember that time is constant...and would still exist if the sun didn't track its course through the sky.

The point, IIRC, was the based on the world map in the guide, Seanchan's west coast would be around 12 hours behind Cairhein, so when Rand and Avi return to Cairhein after they say the sunrise there, it should have been evening in Cairhein. It turns out to be the afternoon. Which is weird.
