I think the costume is a inconsistent with her station as an Aes Sedai and a noblewoman. It looks like a costume that would come from a biblical time period. Perhaps this is because it is because I envision WoT occurring in a semi-Renaissance level of civilization in the Westlands. Either way, it seems Moiraine's clothing here clashes with Mat and Rand's clothing from earlier covers.


Also not consistent with her Cairhien upbringing which is conservative in nature
