The only groups that can challenge him are the Seanchan and the Shadow.
I think the AS with 100,000 soldiers under Gareth Bryne along with 1500 channelers (500 or so AS + 1000 new novices) would be more than a little difficult for Rand or the Seanchan to face ... not to mention GB will likely be recruiting even more hard core now ... I'd bet that by AMoL the Tower could have 300-500k soldiers ... and if they bring the Kin into the fold that will make nearly 3000 women with them!
They have not shown the slightest sign of being willing to crack the whip and get those aggressively recruited women ready in time to be useful to the Last Battle or Rand. Rand has plenty of soldiers and 2-3 Great Captains. Another 100,000 is a drop in the bucket, and what does Bryne know about fighting the Seanchan or Trollocs?
That are already ready to be made Accepted... seems many of the older women have aptitude with a lot of weaves. Also sounds like the lack of supervision and the "family" organization has Forced more than a few of these women.
Bryne has seen what the Seanchan can do via the Raid on TV, not to mention Egwene's first hand experience (and the captured Damane).
There are also plenty of Greens who have spent time fighting in the Borderlands, so he's got experienced women and Warders to fall back on if Trollocs come into play.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
So what was the point of the White Tower struggle?

The Tower will likely have some sort of "badass army" moment at the end... or, they'd BETTER

So what? This is more or less true, but it has zero relevance to the issue of the Tower.
