Some suggestions Maria Send a noteboard - 21/06/2010 03:40:06 PM
If you haven't read Robin Hobb yet, I would recommend her books (but not her Soldier Son trilogy).

I also love many of Jostein Gaarder's books; he's a Nowegian philosopher and author. My favourites are "The Solitaire Mystery" or "Vita brevis".

I just finished Chimamanda Adichie's "Half of a yellow sun"; a novel about the Nigerian civil war. I loved it for the combination of learning about another country's history and culture at the same time as reading a good book.

Don't know what kind of books you like though - can only tell you what books I've enjoyed.

Little?
Me?
Far from it.
I am just large enough.

from top to bottom.
Are you larger than yourself maybe?

Let's just say it makes an impact. - 21/06/2010 06:22:10 PM 738 Views
It honestly had very little impact on me one way or another. - 22/06/2010 12:13:24 AM 755 Views

I enjoyed it. The absurdism--not all that unlike Vonnegut in many instances--made for a lot of fun. - 22/06/2010 02:50:49 AM 781 Views
