I have no doubt that Sirius would have died for James, and most likely for Lupin as well. But for Pettigrew? Would he?


Yes. It has always surprised me that the Marauders could not see through Pettigrew. Granted, my image of the dynamics of the group is quite heavily influenced by the Shoebox Project, but I think I got the same impression from the books as well. I am sure someone describes Pettigrew as someone who was always tagging along, rather than a fully fledged friend.
