I would go with some Shakespeare here. I mean, he's kind of a cornerstone for other literature and fun to read. It's a good place to start at least. Maybe Macbeth? It really is hard to just say one thing.

It makes me doubt my language skills a bit. Though I suppose anyone with no previous knowledge of Shakespeare's English would find it difficult. I wanted something completely different to clear my brain for a while, cause the last thing I read was a 350 page German book (Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo) and now I should study some more German for an exam. I had a few of my sister's old books lying in my bookshelf and I thought I'd give them a try. I'm on page 32, 100 pages in total. I'm not sure if I can get through the Twelth Night.

Well, that's part of the fun with reading it. I find something new every time I manage to figure it out and it takes some getting used to. It's hard picking him up after reading contemporary work, I can only imagine after reading a German work.

Fahrenheit 451 was such a disappointment. A great beginning, but the story was too short and had far less grandeur than I had hoped for.


I liked it and, what I consider similar works (Brave New World and 1984) because they were getting out ahead of their time a little bit. Sure some of it was grounded in what was going on in society at the time. It wasn't ground breaking writing quality or something to shake your moral compass, but I liked them for what they were.
