Dickens StormCrow Send a noteboard - 01/10/2010 02:42:42 PM

I've heard good things from others as well about Tale of Two Cities. I might try that.

It is less "Dickensian" than his other books, I'd say. And a little more ... what's the word? It is simpler and more romance-tinted. Perhaps because of the historical "colour".

I started here, outside of A Christmas Carol. It definitely has a different feel, but is a good place to start. Camilla's the expert here after all.

I liked the other 3 pieces that I've read of his better. Great Expectations, Oliver Twist and David Copperfield. Bleak House and Edwin Drood are on my list to read soon.
