Let's review.
1) Martin doesn't write at the same rate as some other authors. In an astounding coincidence, Martin is not the same person as any of those other authors.
2) Martin's last two books, for a variety of reasons that may range from plot untangling to laziness to writer's block, have taken longer than we'd hoped to arrive. Shockingly, our actual lives are not affected at all.
3) For some fucking reason I still can't fathom, we just can't live with these facts without endless bickering and complaining.
4) We all turn into Peter Pan and never grow up.
