I am constructing a course on Dickens, and so started wondering what I could expect people to have read. I would therefore be very happy if you could reply even if you haven't read anything.

and i've got a tale of two cities waiting on the shelf. i've heard of a lot (if not all all of them) i've looked into his books with interest as to what to read next and i've seen a lot of television adaptions, bbc are always making period dramas...they kick ass.

why haven't i read any others? because i just haven't had time and i need to fancy it before i read it...i need to be in the mood

from great expectations his best feature was his characterisations they felt really fleshed out and distinctive
