She didn't start reading until she was an adult, so when she discovered it, she wanted me to discover it as well because she felt she missed out on so much. I had read some things and liked them- such as Farley's Black Stallion series- but I fell in love with The Hobbit and it was all over. Same for her a few years prior to that.
