That blog post was mostly good, but the exception is a rather large one.

In a post ranting against westerners having stupid stereotypes about Asians, making generalizations or thinking Asians are stupid when they don't speak English, it seems rather unforgiveable to ignore, you know, the existence of Westerners whose first language isn't English, and who may even be living in countries that are more multilingual than Thailand. Somehow it doesn't sound like she'd have much sympathy for a rant from a French person about that same Anglophonic cultural imperialism.
The degree of Anglophonic cultural imperialism is linked more to the size of the country (and its languages) than it is to the location of a country or its wealth. The ones who are most heavily inundated by it are the ones who don't really mind, so you don't hear them so often, but you do hear the French because they do mind.
So if she's frustrated about people not feeling the pain of her suffering Anglophonic cultural imperialism, the reason is simple: most Westerners are suffering the exact same thing, and often to even larger degrees.
Incidentally, her pictures reminded me of a pair of huge pictures that have been hanging on an apparel store in my town for several years now. The woman of the pair is, whether she believes it or not, Ziyi Zhang. It's not just in Thailand that women from halfway around the globe are found in ads.

I don't find the tone blunt; I find it leading, patronizing and often wrong or inferring too much.

Agreed, in general. The tremendous bad faith and sophistry turn me off, though.

Mostly agreed with the article, but thought she undermined herself with her own racism.
