This is important stuff. At least to some of us. I mean me.
My bookshelf is organised not according to genre or the alphabeth or chronology, but according to how it makes sense in my head. Books that feel the same belong together. This is not only based on content, but also on how the book looks. I can have books by one author in several different locations.
Because most of my books are in Norway, and I have limited space for my books here, I find it increasingly difficult to organise my bookshelf in a way that makes me happy. Which means I keep reorganising it.
Oddly, all my school theory books are in alphabetical order according to author.
Am I mad?

And within that, the rule is that the same author goes together. Exactly which end up together depends on how many of each I have. Pratchett gets most of two shelves, and then some other fantasy will be in the rest of the second, for example. And now it is almost midnight and I must go to sleep.
