I have my bookshelves organized two main ways. buy subject matter-in this case, SciFi/Fantasy, and History-and, within those two categories, alphabetical, by author.

It does tend to turn what might have been a crow's nest, into something manageable...

I take it your friends don't call you mad, then.


They do call me mad. Just not for that reason... :P

It also helps that I don't have to hunt the book I want to read down, because it'll either be in the History Section, or the SciFi/Fantasy section. But I am due for a pruning soon. Place is getting filled up... :(
