And some of the names allow for more interesting analysis of the character wearing them than the two you named - Lupin means wolf, okay, not much to it there. But Minerva McGonagall's first name is more interesting, and there's some that may or may not be intentional - is Horace Slughorn's first name intended as a reference to the Latin poet and his famous adage "carpe diem", or is that searching too far? And if those names and references can lead some readers to the Greek/Roman and Norse (Fenrir Greyback) mythologies that many of them are derived from, that's a good thing in my book.
