I won't quote what I've written to another recently, since such things are very personal (bet you know who it is, though), but sometimes it's just the experiences, good and bad alike, that make it fun.

Ever noticed that sometimes you feel the most alive when you're terrified or worried? How time seems to both compress and expand at the same time? That the heartrate shoots up and the fingers twitch just a bit more? And that after the fear/terror has subsided, that a part of you finds yourself wishing you could have some of the experience of that heightened awareness back, even if the associated events aren't that thrilling to recall?

Ennui is the bane of existence for me, though.
