While you're right that Pakistan doesn't control some of the country, to simply pass it off as a "mistake" or "their bad" is absurd. Maybe if I saw CAIR lobbying Pakistan to protect its religious minorities I'd not think that the whole Islamic religion is satanic and anti-Christian.

Frankly, I'd think that CAIR (or more accurately, its Canadian and Italian counterparts) would be better off focusing on people they stand a chance of success with, people who understand that Muslim Americans, Canadians, Italians, etc. have nothing to do with what happens in Pakistan, and cannot possibly be held responsible for it. Changing your views of Islam seems rather like a lost cause.

I read it... if you have any indications that those executions were for "bogus crimes" or "just because of their faith", those certainly aren't in that article. I don't see any indication in there that the executed Christians might have been innocent of the rather serious charges against them. The Vatican asked for them not to be executed, but then it does that - to its credit - for just about all people on death row. It was a "plea for clemency", not a protest that they were innocent.
