After all, if there is any religious ranting going on here, it seems that it eventually will become a debate between us.
I do have issues with ego, but my preaching is actually an area where I am not in too much trouble in that department. Nothing makes a preacher more humble than giving what he was sure was a brilliant sermon and then standing in the handshaking line hearing it described as "nice" fifty times.
Makes me want to throw fire and brimstone at them, just to break the ennui.
I am fairly sure that if you started hurling fire and brimstone at your congregation, it might even make the evening news
