Passion doesn't need to be... Jeordam Send a noteboard - 01/09/2010 03:50:22 PM
It's good that they're enthusastic and all, but everytime I have to listen to a passionate jump-around-preacher, I can't help but get the feeling that they're trying to dupe or control those listening with passion instead of thought.

Someone running around, screaming, and jumping all over the place. Passion can be communicated through tone of voice, speaking tempo, and non-verbal communication as well (that doesn't involve the need to limber up first).

And contrary to popular thought, but Christians aren't stupid when it comes to their faith. I've seen that its more a matter of being lazy, as you don't take what your preacher says at face value. Instead, you listen, and then study up yourself. Afterall, the preacher is human just like the next person...and is therefor as prone to mistakes as well.
