As for the whole debate, I think the pope is entitled to his opinion just as I am allowed to think he is wrong. But then again, the few times I agree with the pope on something it's usually stuff like "there should be world peace" and "please help these homeless people".

Cool then. Like you say, that doesn't make the Pope any less entitled to his opinion, but does make it largely irrelevant to Spanish civil law.
