I would write your replies if I cared enough, which I no longer do (in this context). The anthropomorphic bias, I'm convinced, is the cause of many misunderstandings and biases in "discussions" such as these. Eventually, I do think most people will get there -- I know it took me a few years to really get it. Taleb explains it well by referring to Casanova.

Assertions like the one to which I replied press my buttons because scientific discovery is impressive enough to be appreciated in its own right. It really bothers me when people misappropriate science (new or old) to fuel their own irrational philosophies (something which happens more often with quantum physics, but there's plenty of misunderstanding of biology to go around, too).
