That is the one thing I have wondered about with Qatar - I think it is one of the more liberal Gulf States but that just means that while there are places to buy alcohol, it has to be done completely off the street. Not sure how big beer ads will go down...
It's also illegal to go there if you're either Jewish or gay, so lets here it for Israel qualifying and Man Utd persuading their entire team to declare themselves gay, so they don't get injured on international duty...
