an islamic center in orange county, california held a fundraiser to benefit women's homeless shelters. one of the local city council members gave a speech in protest saying the muslims were "pure unadulterated evil" and insinuating that the money being raised for women's shelters and schools is actually going to fund terrorists to attack the US.
the video is making the rounds as evidence that the tea party activists are inherently racist, but i think it shows more that people can be whipped into a furor over any ignorant idea no matter how stupid and illogical.
