Does one say: "Will you marry me?" like in the films, or do people rather say: "Do you want to be engaged?". Because if it's the former, then I'd find it awkward not to set a date soon after. And if one of the two comes up with a date, how do things proceed from there? I dunno, sounds odd.
That I can understand, of course.
yeah, a few
I'd have to say yes, given it's thrown by the right people
God, no.
My friend Werner and his wife rented this castle / youth hostel for all of us from Friday through Sunday, so the whole circle of friends spent three days in a beautiful castle, celebrating, drinking, laughing. Not only was it the best wedding I ever been to, hands down, it was probably also the best party. Which is just like it's supposed to be.
I find a lot depends on the location. If it's a cool one and the weather plays along, not much can go wrong. Also: no traditional dance music for the old people. My wedding, my music. This is my day, not my grandma's. I like the thought of a white, open tent on a beautiful green lawn, whenever I think about a wedding. Problem is, I don't think I am cut out for the mere idea of getting married.
I totally prefer the unique ones.
I like this, as I like being engaged. And planning a wedding sounds like an awful lot of work to me (and probably requires throwing a lot of money at it, too). I'm not really the kind of woman who's been planning her marriage since the age of 4.
That I can understand, of course.
So on to the survey:
1. 'Did you ever attend a wedding? (if not, prob this survey isn't for you)
yeah, a few
2. Do you like weddings?
I'd have to say yes, given it's thrown by the right people
3. Did you ever organize a wedding? (Was it your own?)
God, no.
4. What was the best wedding you ever went to, and why was it so good? (cue for: my own, because I love my spouse so much! real intention of question is that I want to know what made the party fun)

5. What kind of wedding would you like to throw yourself (if you were to marry at some point)?

6. Do you like traditional weddings, or ones that do something unique/funny?
I totally prefer the unique ones.

If you don't want drama, don't invite family. Seriously, listen to the voice of experience here.

That entirely depends on how you define family.

In your opinion. For me, as an example, it is the people I care for and respect that matter.
