It all comes down to: do I really want to be feeding them a piece of my check? Hell no. I don't care enough about them. It's occasionally fun to watch football and such. But honestly, I think if I, as an engineering student have to work just as hard as them but do it in the classroom and I'm not surrounded by girls after a long day, I should get compensated as much as them. But that's not the way it works. They get tuition covered because they provide entertainment while I have to pay extra in school supplies because my work isn't paying off yet.
It's pretty unfair, IMO. As professionals, I say pay em whatever you want. As students, I feel like they should be treated as students like the rest of us, just like LadyLorraine said.
