I was looking up a word in my big German-English Dictionary when I noticed what may be the funniest word in German. It is:
Muckefuck
And apparently it means a coffee substitute. And you thought "Sanka" was weird enough...
I thought to myself, "If I drank coffee, and if I were to want a substitute, there is no way that I could say 'ich möchte etwas Muckefuck, bitte' with a straight face. I would start laughing."
Hence, this survey. It is short and simple, so that everyone can get back to their Muckefuck.

1. Name a word in a foreign language that you think sounds funny.
pamplemousse, its french for melon.
2. Name a word in a foreign language you do not like.
anything that has that weird B in it, cause i have no idea how to pronounce it
3. Name a word or phrase in your own language you do not like.
Swanage and Mews. the first because it sounds too close to sewage and the second because it sounds like an evil skeletal cat thing
4. Name a word or phrase in your own language you find funny.
Bubbles, anything in cockney and Piddlehinton ( a town in Dorset)

"Muckefuck" sounds to me like "Schmutzenficken" sounds to you.

Moockefoock, though with short "oo"s. I'm guessing it's more the spelling that's funny. *NM*

Sort of like "book" for both "u"s and with a short "uh" sound for the "e".

I think that works because the languages are similar but distinct

I think some of my funniest foreign words would have to be Norwegian, as well.

Well, Norwegian is closer to Dutch than Swedish and Danish are.

I always grimace a little when I hear "pupsik". Always sounds like "poopsicle" to me.
