I did, however, google that quote to make sure you weren't referencing Charlie Sheen.


...who wrote this sentence about how "...some magi will rise up in China, and change the course of history", and that always stuck with me. What the author meant was: something unexpected will alter the course of history. It may not have been Diamond. They definitely wrote "magi". I may have read it in Foreign Policy in an article by Kennedy. I may have imagined it all, just as Mark Twain's narrator in "The Mysterious Stranger". It's all lies and Disraeli.
