1. Have you ever dated someone who doesn't read?
Yes, and he wasn't much of an intellectual in any form. That is the main reason I broke up with him. In almost all other ways we were perfect for each other. I miss his friendship dearly, but I know he wasn't right for me because I missed that intellectual interplay with my partner.
2. Is reading important enough to you that you wouldn't date someone because they didn't read?
I don't know. My husband doesn't read a whole lot. My boyfriend doesn't read at all, now that I think about it. But he is imaginitive; he owns a gamestore and is very good with rules. He writes his own games as well. So I think the imagination part is the most important for me.
3. Do you think music is fundamental enough to your life that it would factor into who you dated?
Probably not. In my relationships, that's sort of "my" thing. Neither of my partners has musical talent. They enjoy music but don't have any must or must-not haves in that department.
4. Have you been on any dates lately?
I guess I had a date today. We all went out to lunch before I leave for a year.

5. Where would you suggest a book lover find... a lover?
Hehe. It sounds like you might be on a good site for you. Wait for someone else to message you? This is also a good site to meet people who like books.

Being picky about books is very different from insisting that there be some books.

I thought you handled it rather well. Looking for someone compatible does not make you a snob.
