But I stopped using them mostly because I found it really difficult to get anywhere with them/establish a good bunch of people to talk with and that's because of the BB style.

I post now and then on other sites that have the BB style.


I've had little to no difficulty getting to know people at other sites whose foci are similar to this one's and in many cases, I found the layout to encourage a more communal "conversation" than the individual monologues that happen frequently here.

Just a matter of preferences, I suppose, but sometimes uniqueness hurts. Even if some view this board as being akin to a Mac vs. a PC, the visitor share is going to be very low as a result.
