So is no one going to talk about Rick Perry threatening to lynch the Fed Chair? Now some people both in real life and at RAFO are going to argue that Rick Perry (Republican Presidential Nominee and current Governor of Texas) didn't actually call for a lynching. Here is what Rick Perry said transcript wise (during a Q and A in Iowa), you decide for yourself.
And here is the video

The next day to CNN (Tuesday), Rick Perry (not a spokesman) said this to cnn.
On Wednesday he back down his monday and tuesday statements with this comment
1) Treason is a capital offense.
2) But this wasn't just hyperbole with the word treason in my opinion (though Ann Coulter naming books Treason and such is definitely hyperbole as well as bomb throwing.) The choice of words that Perry used, "We" instead of "I", "do to him" instead of "say to him", means what Rick Perry was saying was a rhetorical call to violence and not just hyperbole
With the last couple of weeks when people comment about Rick Perry for president, and I groan, and I say anybody but him, they always argue he isn't that bad of governor. At least he is a Republican and Conservative and that makes me better than Obama. I couldn't put my finger on the why I such have a visceral dislike of my state's governor. These last two days reminded me of the reason why.
Rick Perry personality wise is a Bully and a Thug. The type of statement that Perry made on Monday, that is the type of thing a bully and a thug would say.

“Oh, the – I – The Federal Reserve. Um, I – I’ll take a pass on the Federal Reserve right at the moment, to be real honest with you. Um, I know there’s a lot of talk and what have you, uh, about ‘em. If – if this guy prints more money, uh, between now and the election, I dunno what y’all would do to him in Iowa but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas.
Mean... printing more money to play politics at this particular time in history is almost treacherous – er, treasonous in my opinion.”

"Hyperbole". That is exactly the word I was just thinking to describe the situation.

I'd like to see some examples of both sides accusing each other of treason.

I fail to see how he accused anyone of treason, or urged violence, but OK.

He left it vague, so he gets away with promoting violence; that's "free speech" now.

I took his comment to be something meant to appeal to the Tea Party segment, but came out wrong.

You're right; liberals like Karl Rove and Ron Paul are already criticizing his comment.

Why do liberals always object when people urge political violence against us?
