Yeah, not sure why I bothered. Joel Send a noteboard - 18/08/2011 07:09:34 PM
When you start standing logic on its head and hear every utterance as a threat you need to up your meds or I could be wrong and it is unimportant that no one either encouraged violence or threatened to lynch anyone. I guess the TRUTH can't be deterred my simple facts and we should go with what we KNOW instead of what we see or hear.

Or what non-violent things Perry approvingly thinks Texans would "do" to Bernanke that Iowans wouldn't. Yet another reason to hope no one shoots the Fed Chairman now; seeing you defensively note that Perry didn't EXPLICITLY suggest that would be more than I can stomach. I can't help wondering how many times (within a year) liberals have to be gunned down for their politics before you admit that's a reasonable concern, and that inciting violence is no more "free speech" than preventing that incitement is "censorship". We censor snuff films, too, and for good reason.

the difference in degree is the degree of hyperbole you used - 18/08/2011 02:14:03 PM 232 Views
"Hyperbole". That is exactly the word I was just thinking to describe the situation. - 19/08/2011 01:10:26 AM 261 Views
Perry is a blowhard - 19/08/2011 02:40:39 AM 214 Views

I am so not getting into this with you - 18/08/2011 03:12:31 AM 309 Views
I'm kinda sick of the whole subject. - 18/08/2011 02:31:23 AM 352 Views
He left it vague, so he gets away with promoting violence; that's "free speech" now. - 18/08/2011 02:52:30 AM 340 Views
I shall infer something from those statements - 18/08/2011 02:00:00 PM 365 Views
that isn't how Joel logic works - 18/08/2011 03:06:10 PM 348 Views

I took his comment to be something meant to appeal to the Tea Party segment, but came out wrong. - 18/08/2011 06:53:34 PM 364 Views
Or you could just skip the R altogether if that's not what you want. - 18/08/2011 07:15:47 PM 306 Views

I am not sure what he was trying to do - 18/08/2011 07:42:17 PM 406 Views
You're right; liberals like Karl Rove and Ron Paul are already criticizing his comment. - 18/08/2011 09:56:26 PM 359 Views
or it should give us an idea how much a Bushie he is - 18/08/2011 11:24:02 PM 216 Views
Why do liberals always object when people urge political violence against us? - 18/08/2011 05:52:05 PM 260 Views
So I guess the answer is liberals are just naturally paranoid - 18/08/2011 06:45:30 PM 344 Views
