Sorry you see no difference between attacking political policy & physically attacking policy makers.

Go grab a cobblestone and throw it a cop in the name of peace. Hell if republicans won't let you put words in their mouths what is point of even talking to them? Just throw a riot to prove how violent they are. You have a right to rich people's money after all and it is evil for them not to give it you so who cares if they actually said what you claimed they said they are the baddies and that is all that really matters.
That's unfortunate both because of what you condemn in political foes and what you excuse in political allies. I've never suggested throwing rocks at cops or defended anyone who did, but a random accusation of that against no one in particular doesn't justify Perrys suggestion Texans (or Iowans) "do" anything to Bernanke. Like I said, I'm starting to understand how German Jews felt in the '30s; not only am I not safe on the street, but when elected leaders urge political violence their "reasonable" allies defend those urgings as "free speech". Incitement to murder is sacrosanct free speech, but objecting to such incitement is NOT free speech, merely abominable. Pardon me if I decline your offer to come through the looking glass to that very scary world.

No one is going to talk about Rick Perry threatening to lynch the Fed Chair?

the difference in degree is the degree of hyperbole you used

"Hyperbole". That is exactly the word I was just thinking to describe the situation.

I'd like to see some examples of both sides accusing each other of treason.

I fail to see how he accused anyone of treason, or urged violence, but OK.

He left it vague, so he gets away with promoting violence; that's "free speech" now.

I took his comment to be something meant to appeal to the Tea Party segment, but came out wrong.

You're right; liberals like Karl Rove and Ron Paul are already criticizing his comment.

Why do liberals always object when people urge political violence against us?

So I guess the answer is liberals are just naturally paranoid
