The really lame part is we have taken the habits of the wealthy and told average working people that they should do the same thing. My son actually bought into the stupid idea that he should spend three months salary on a ring so now his fiancé is wearing a shiny rock that is worth more than the car he drives and this make sense to them. I would rather have people think I am cheap than to know I am stupid enough to go into to debt just to prove I am not cheap.
