This militant atheism is somewhat amusing. Tom Send a noteboard - 20/12/2011 09:48:57 PM
Lots of things that can't be proven, or repeated in experiments, or controlled scientifically, have meaning. I could take it to an extreme and say "happiness" or "love" because they're so subjective.

Even without doing that, look at all the things we've only been able to measure in our lifetimes. Were the Greeks to be ridiculed when they posited the atomic theory just because they couldn't prove it?

Skepticism is well and good, but skepticism without an open mind is just as dogmatically rigid as any religion.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius

For atheism to be a tenable position, one must assume that millions lie about their experiences. - 20/12/2011 04:11:53 AM 999 Views
