1. I dreamt I saw a plane floating down the river, the GW Bridge was to my right, it was floating along the river across my field of vision to the left. I knew from the dream the plane had been going to the south and it was either late Fall or Winter. I had this dream in September 2008.
2. I told my friends about the dream. This was the first dream I told my friends about in several years. It was the first one that I had the apprehension about that I have when I dream this type of dream since the Yeltsin dream of 2007 (and that was an easy one, since I turned on the TV immediately and saw Yeltsin was dead).
3. When the "Miracle on the Hudson" event occurred, I was at a business meeting. I didn't connect the dream with the event instantaneously because (a) I was focused on the business meeting, (b) I was on the 67th floor of the Empire State Building, not ground level as in my dream and (c) when nothing had happened by the end of November the previous year I assumed that I was wrong about the dream, that it was the first time I had mentioned something like this that didn't happen and I was mistaken.
4. Before I could even process this very long (i.e., about 30 seconds), the two people in the room looked at me and said, "So your dream did come true".
It is entirely possible I would have made the connection after about 5 minutes or so, but since I had told both people about my dream, they both knew and were both still "waiting to see if something happened".

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
