They did have nothing to gain and quite a bit to lose. The problem, from my perspective, was that people were expressing "moral outrage" at the act, rather than being upset that the Marines would film it, breach protocol, etc.
I really didnt expect anyone with an ounce of human decency to not be upset about the content of the video and not just the fact that the video exists. SMH
