The problem is, at times when the gf has Uni, it would be alone for 6-8 hours, that's not good. And we aren't sure what monthly costs would come with it. So I fear it's not an option right now.

Yeah, sensible. This is why I never got one before - not enough time or stability.

I just remembered: we also can't agree whether it's okay for a pet like dog or cat to sleep in the bed. That's a huge No go for me.

Ah. I am fine with them in the bed, as long as any and all genitals are near my feet rather than my face. :P John doesn't seem to be in favor of sharing the bed, however, so I have to respect that.

We have two gerbils.

Cute, but I don't ever want another mousey thing.
