And by your logic simply having convictions different from others is condescending or presumptuous. If someone is a believing Hindu, by definition they believe you are wrong if you subscribe to Christian doctrine, or if you are a Muslim, etc...

That is not true, and is not what either of us is saying. They are free to think I'm wrong - that alone doesn't spell condescension. Treating me as though I've made the wrong choices and deciding to make different decisions on my behalf is condescension. Blatantly.
